After a lot of last minute searching we found a campsite along the Little Red Deer River this weekend (5 minutes west of Bowden)...

On Saturday we drove to nearby Gleniffer Lake and let the girls play in the sand on the beach...

They decided it would be fun to make a mudslide...

And got REALLY dirty and had lots of fun sliding down!

We also visited a Danish museum in Dickson (apparently a whole congregation immigrated in the early 1900's and settled there). They had an original schoolhouse that was converted into a museum and forest trails that led to original settler's cabins, a castle, a church and along the way we read a whole bunch of Hans Christian Andersen stories...

The girls also had a blast playing golf all weekend with their new golf clubs:)
