It was an interesting first day of school for us this year. Two days before, Anaya fell off the monkey bars at the park and broke her elbow...which made for a late night at the Children's Hospital and a cast and sling for the next 6-8 weeks! She still made it to her first day of kindergarten and had a blast, despite not being able to use her writing/eating hand. We've had to make a few adjustments as far as getting a large sweater to fit over her sling, short-sleeved shirts only and slip-on shoes but we seem to be settling into this new routine.
Tegan has the same teacher as last year, Ms. Giesbrecht, except now she gets to be part of the "old" Grade 2's in the class and be responsible for helping and welcoming all the grade one's coming in. (they only do split classes at Tuscany School).
Everyone's excited to be starting another school year...including me:)
